A while ago, I announced that I was going to be working on and releasing a project that would collect allllll of my work, all of my stories, finished and unfinished, into a single massive anthology. Also included in that would have been a sort of “special features” aspect, a sort of “behind the scenes” look at how I come up with the ideas, what real-life things influenced the stories, alternate storylines and endings, stuff like that.
That book is no longer happening.
What IS happening, however, is the same thing, only in the format of a podcast and YouTube series!
In the show, I’ll be going through every single story I’ve ever written – that’s well over 100 – and I’ll be reading them, then discussing the “behind-the-scenes” aspects, ie the inspiration for the story, the real life influences that went into it, how it performed, how it informed my work moving forward, and much, much more. In addition to my completed stories, I’ll also be going through my unfinished stories, and sometimes I’ll even try to predict where the story would’ve gone, and I’ll ask you where you think it should have gone.
Oftentimes the discussion will veer away from horror, and you’ll get to hear insane true stories from my real life – cautionary tales of my time as a heroin addict and dealer and wannabe gangster, play-by-plays of the most memorable fights of my life (and every reason why there shouldn’t have been a fight in the first place, aka why I’m a moron), the Iron Gym Heist of 2008, and so much more.
The first three episodes will be released all at once sometime in the next three weeks. I truly hope you’ll join me as I exploit the audio format as a form of therapy through which I can tell my stories (true and otherwise).
I hope you’ll join me!
